Apple Computer Warranty Repair:

MacLife techs have training directly from Apple and perform Apple Warranty repairs on Mac computers at no charge. Our Apple Certified Technicians can perform warranty repairs at MacLife, your home, or your business.

Call our Service Department to confirm your Apple warranty coverage and to discuss your repair options. You never need an appointment to talk with our service staff, but if you would like one, you are welcome to schedule an appointment here.

In the event your repair is not covered either by the Apple Limited Warranty or AppleCare,  we’ll discuss all of your repair options and work with you to set up a repair plan.

 

We Recommend AppleCare

Purchasing AppleCare will extend your hardware warranty and phone support to 3 years. You can add AppleCare to a system for one year after its initial purchase date.

All Apple computers come with a standard 1 year hardware warranty and 90 days of Apple telephone support.  Your Apple Limited Warranty covers parts and the labor to replace them.  Apple software and operating system issues are covered for 90 days.

Non-Warranty Repair

You never need an appointment to talk to our service department.  Our staff will discuss your repair options and develop a service plan with you.

Apple has recognized the MacLife Service Department as being among the best in the country with a high accuracy in diagnosing and completing repairs quickly!   All computer repairs done at MacLife are performed by Apple-certified technicians using authentic Apple Parts.

Common Repair Services & Our Rates

Standard Hourly Rate $129
All non-warranty repairs are done under our standard hourly rate. ($35 minimum charge.)

Diagnostic Fee $59
A diagnostic exam of your system to define the issue. Our staff will discuss all repair options and costs with you to develop a service plan that fits your needs. When your system is repaired, this fee is credited towards the cost of repair.

Data Backup starting at $59
A data backup is recommended during any repair to insure the safety of your data. We will create an image of your computer onto our secure in-house servers.

Expedited Service $49
Traveling? On a tight deadline? Discuss with your tech whether your repair work can qualify for immediate express scheduling. (This service guarantees that your repair will begin immediately but is not a guarantee of repair time length.  Not all repairs qualify for this service.)

Liquid Spill Inspection $99
Your computer is immediately opened, cleaned, and thoroughly inspected to determine the extent of any damage that has occurred. Your technician will work with you to develop a repair plan for your computer.

Mac Tune Up / Used Computer Check $69
If your system is running slower or you’re concerned about a change in performance, a System Tune Up is the place to begin. We start with a thorough system cleaning, inside and out. Diagnostics are run to confirm that the hardware is working well and all system software updates are installed.
TIP: Buying a used system? A Mac Tune Up is a great way to check out the performance and condition of a used Mac before you buy it.

RAM Upgrades:
Installation includes diagnostics to ensure RAM is functioning properly.
No Charge:  Install RAM purchased at MacLife
$35 for Most Models: Install RAM purchased elsewhere

Hard Drive Replacement with Data Transfer:
Installation of new drive and clone over the data from your old drive.
Full system diagnostics & system software updates.
$99 to $149

OSX Installation & Setup
$69 Install Mac OSX with all updates. Set up printers, install and configure third party software, etc.

We’ll make it easy to get started with your new Mac. Ask MacLife to deliver and set up your new system, transfer data from an old computer, and set up a data back-up plan. We even do a training session there at your house.
