Mac for Life

The Mac for Life series offers nine different classes developed to introduce you to the Macintosh. Each one is designed to introduce a particular aspect of the Mac Life—from understanding how to use a Mac, to making a photo book or movie; from designing newsletters to developing your own web pages. We cover the Mac’s OS X Leopard, the iLife programs, and Apple’s iWork productivity software.

Firm Foundations

While a quick overview class may work for some, you might prefer a more in-depth, hands-on, steady-paced class with lots of patient instruction. That’s where the Firm Foundations series comes into play. These classes cover much the same information as the Mac for Life series, but in a fuller, deeper, slower paced manner. Each one will give you a firm foundation in using your Mac.

Beyond the Basics

Theses intermediate level classes take you beyond the basics into areas of interest to advanced amateur photographers, movie makers, and musicians. Included are introductory classes to Final Cut Express, Aperture, and other intermediate to advanced programs. There are also workshops where you can put together your projects under the tutorage of a competent professional. 

Office Bootcamp

 Join us for a comprehensive Boot Camp in using Office 2008 on your Mac. Included in the class will be “Office 2008 for Macintosh: The Missing Manual”. Have your questions answered in the comfort of our state of the art classroom with individualized workstations in a no-pressure environment and take home the manual as a reference manual.

PC To Mac

Mac OS X is the world’s most advanced operating system. It’s incredibly powerful, yet elegantly simple. But if you’re switching from Windows it can be rather confusing at first. This class provides a solid overview to help you make the transition. We’ll take a good look at the Finder, Mac’s user environment, so can learn your way around. We’ll discuss using the Internet, including dealing with attachments, and answer your many questions. By the time we’re done, you should be able to get started doing what you want on your Mac.
